Goomeri lockups for empty Tuesdays and full sheds

The town sits where the Wide Bay Highway meets the Burnett Highway, and people well outside the district know it for the pumpkin festival. Around it are cattle and dairy places, lifestyle blocks, and owners who live somewhere else and come back on weekends.

Absentee blocks

A steel room for a place that sits quiet

Working farms want feed, parts and tools out of the weather and out of an open shed. Weekend owners want the same room for a different reason: the place is empty for days. Steel walls and a lock box over the padlock are harder work than a tin shed. Put it where it can be seen from the road or the house. It is still a store, not a safe, and the only keys do not belong under a pot.

If nobody will meet the truck, send a map pin, photos of the gate and the pad, and written instructions. Guessing the paddock from the highway is how boxes land in the wrong bay.

Highway

Pull clear of the traffic, then the track

Some drives come straight off the highway. Others turn onto a grid and a creek. A gate onto a fast road needs a place for the truck to get off the bitumen before it starts placing. Say which one you have when you enquire.

Shops use one as overflow when the back room fills: seasonal stock and spare parts. Along a rear fence that works if a forklift still reaches the doors. On gravel, pads under the corners keep them sealing. Cutting openings is structural work, not a Saturday job.

Supply

Already in Gympie, then the highway

We send what is already sitting in Gympie, out along the Wide Bay Highway. The roundabout is not the destination. The track after it is. Freight for both is in the quote, and the day is fixed when you order. If you want the serial in a photo, ask before the truck rolls.

A 40ft suits bulk feed where a sidelifter has room. A 20ft is the lockup behind a short shop yard or on a tighter track. Selling a container you looked after is the comparison with a shed that cannot move.

Country around

4601 is a big postcode

Town itself is 4601, and so are Kinbombi and Tansey, though a Tansey track is not a ten-minute job from the servo. Kilkivan is 4600. Murgon, further up the Burnett Highway, is 4605. We price the track you actually have, not the whole postcode.

Gympie Regional Council covers Goomeri. If you are unsure which side of a boundary the lot sits on, the rates notice is better than a guess. Fraser Coast is further east, toward Maryborough.

Goomeri, from the shop and the paddock

Do you come past Goomeri onto farms?

Yes. Wide Bay Highway, then the track. A highway gate, a grid or a creek all change the truck. Tell us which you have.

Is it secure enough if I live away?

Harder to open than a tin shed, especially with a lock box and a spot you can see from the road. It is not a safe for things you cannot replace.

What if the place is empty on the day?

A map pin, photos of the gate and the pad, and clear instructions. Or someone to meet the driver. Do not describe it as the paddock past the big tree.

Which length?

40ft where a sidelifter has room. 20ft on a short yard or a tight track. 4601 alone does not decide it.

If you are buying to keep

Kilkivan and the highway east

If nobody will be at the Goomeri gate

Send a pin, photos, and which way the doors should face. We can place it without a meeting if the note is clear.
