Delivering to a town block is simple: driveway, tilt-tray, done. Acreage in the Mary Valley or out west of town is a different sport, and the prep you do before delivery day decides how it goes.
A loaded tilt-tray needs about 3.5m of clear width, solid ground, and it does not love wet clay on a slope. If your track has a soft spot, a tight gate or a steep pinch, tell us up front — we'd rather send the right truck the first time than bog the wrong one in your paddock. Photos of the track and the drop spot get you an exact answer within the day.
Machinery store? Close to the work, doors facing the direction you'll drive at it. Hay? High and dry beats close and handy. Workshop? Think power run and afternoon shade — a container in full western sun is an oven at 4pm in January.
Six concrete blocks or hardwood sleepers under the corners, roughly level. That's it. Air under the floor keeps the underside dry and the doors swinging true for decades. Skip it and five years of damp ground will do quiet damage you can't see until the floor goes spongy.
Here's the local tip: order in the dry. Every March we take calls from properties we physically can't get a truck into until the track dries out. If you know you'll want a container by autumn, get it placed by Christmas.
