Curra treats a container as the shed they have not built

Mostly acreage of a few hectares, close enough to Gympie for a daily drive, with families, tradies and small home businesses. It is one of the simpler runs we do, which does not mean every driveway is a formality.

The block

Quicker than a slab, and you can move it later

The common Curra job is a shed you did not want to build: no slab, a lock, and the option to shift it when the house extension is finished. Shelving along one wall and the corners on blocks or sleepers is the whole setup for a lot of households. Two boxes with a roof across the gap is a layout people on acreage like. If that roof is permanent, ask the council before you build it.

Home businesses show up as a plumber's fittings or a chippy's timber in the box, with the ute in the shed. That is a different load from a farm chemical store, so the grade should match whatever has to stay dry. Hire covers the months of an extension. Buying makes sense once you know the box is the shed.

Access

Wide lots, with a few things to look up

Approaches are usually easy: wide frontages, firm ground, a tilt-tray that can square up. Check for powerlines, trees along the drive, and the patch that goes soft after a storm even though the rest of the block is fine.

Curra is only a short way north of Gympie on the highway. The container still comes from Gympie stock, not from a pile waiting at Curra. That short hop is why freight is usually a brief conversation, and we still name a day rather than a vague week. Acreage setup is worth a read if the block is bigger than a house yard.

Nearby

North of town, still 4570

Curra, Gunalda, Glenwood, Scotchy Pocket and Two Mile are all 4570. Gunalda is the next highway town. Glenwood spreads out into rural lots. Two Mile is back toward Gympie. Easy Curra frontages and a Glenwood farm track are not the same arrival.

Gympie Regional Council covers Curra. A temporary box during a build and a permanent shed-replacement can be treated differently, so ask about your lot if it is staying.

Curra blocks

Is Curra an easy delivery?

Usually. Wide blocks and firm ground. Look for wires, trees on the drive, and any soft spot you already sink a car in after rain.

Can it replace a shed?

Yes. No slab, it locks, and it can be moved later. Corners on blocks or sleepers, shelving on one wall.

Can I roof between two of them?

People do. If the roof is a permanent structure, check with Gympie Regional Council before you build it.

Hire while I extend the house?

That is what hire is for. It leaves when the build is done. Buying is the better sum if you already know you will keep it.

If you are weighing up a purchase

Gunalda, Gympie and Widgee

Curra is usually a straight quote

Mention overhead wires and any soft patch you already know about. The rest is often simple.
